Leonard Hofstadter

🔟 Leonard's Top 10 Favorite Things

Hi, I'm Leonard. I'm an experimental physicist, which means I get to play with lasers and call it work. These are the things that make my life better, even with a roommate like mine.

1. 1

   Penny

Marrying the girl across the hall is still the best experiment I ever ran.

2. 2

   My cello

I've played since I was a kid, and it's how I serenade Penny when words fail me.

3. 3

My first-edition Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

It was my favorite book growing up, and I own a first edition.

4. 4

   My Superman comics

The Man of Steel is my guy.

5. 5

   Winning the Physics Bowl

My team beat Sheldon's, and I'll never stop enjoying that.

6. 6

   German chocolate cake

My favorite cake since I was a kid.

7. 7

   Klingon Boggle

Yes, it's nerdy. Yes, I'm good at it.

8. 8

   Star Wars Day

A whole day of movies with my friends, and now Penny gets the jokes too.

9. 9

   My new laser

When I had extra grant money and couldn't choose who to give it to, I bought myself a laser.

10. 10

    Halo night

A standing date with the guys, even when Penny shows up and beats us.

🔟 Leonard's Top 10 Movies & TV

I've watched a lot of science fiction on our couch over the years, mostly while Sheldon explained what was wrong with it. These are the ones I'd defend in any argument, including against him.

1. 1

   Star Wars(1977)

The movie my whole friend group is built on, and we give it its own day every year.

2. 2

   Raiders of the Lost Ark(1981)

A perfect adventure movie, no matter what Amy says about Indy's role in the plot.

3. 3

   Babylon 5(1993)

My favorite show, and Sheldon still won't let me watch it in the apartment.

4. 4

   Battlestar Galactica(2004)

Battlestar night is a tradition, right up there with Halo night.

5. 5

The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring(2001)

I went to Penny's first Halloween party dressed as Frodo.

6. 6

   Superman(1978)

He's my guy, and I wanted to wear the cape at the comic store costume party.

7. 7

Serial Ape-ist 2: Monkey See, Monkey Kill

My wife is in it, so it's on the list.

8. 8

   The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey(2012)

The extended Blu-ray with the commentary track is my idea of a perfect night in.

9. 9

   Ghostbusters(1984)

Worth watching to the end, even on a laptop in my lab on a Saturday night.

10. 10

    Doctor Who(2005)

I've made Penny sit through a lot of episodes. She's coming around. Probably.
