Darth Vader

🔟 Vader's Top 10 Most Disappointing Officers

I command the finest fleet in the galaxy. I am also forced to work with these people. Allow me to review their performance.

1. 1

   Admiral Ozzel

He brought the fleet out of hyperspace far too close to Hoth and warned the Rebels we had arrived. His command ended that afternoon.

2. 2

   Captain Needa

He lost one battered freighter right off his own sensors, then came to apologize in person.

3. 3

   Admiral Motti

He mocked my beliefs across a conference table aboard a battle station, while I was in the room.

4. 4

   The escape-pod gunners

The pod showed no life forms, so they let it go. The two droids inside, carrying the stolen plans, were very grateful.

5. 5

My search party at Mos Eisley

I sent a detachment to recover those droids. A patrol stopped exactly the right droids, then waved them along.

6. 6

   The scanning crew

I ordered every part of that freighter searched. They searched it and found nothing at all.

7. 7

The trooper missing from his post

One guard leaves the Falcon's docking bay, and a band of rescuers walks aboard my station in Imperial armor.

8. 8

   The tractor beam guards

An old man in a robe walked up to the station's tractor beam controls and switched them off without anyone noticing.

9. 9

   Piett's hyperdrive team

I asked whether the Falcon's hyperdrive had been disabled, and they said yes. Moments later it jumped to lightspeed right in front of us.

10. 10

    Moff Jerjerrod

Our second battle station was behind schedule, so I had to fly out and motivate the construction crews myself.

🔟 Darth Vader's Top 10 Favorite Imperial Machines

The Empire's hardware is impressive. Most of it, anyway. These are the machines I approve of.

1. 1

   The Death Star

A battle station the size of a moon, though I still prefer the Force.

2. 2

   My TIE Advanced

A personal fighter for a personal touch during the trench run.

3. 3

   The Executor

My flagship is a Super Star Destroyer. Subtle is overrated.

4. 4

   Star Destroyers

The opening chase over Tatooine went exactly as planned. Mostly.

5. 5

   Imperial probe droids

Thousands sent across the galaxy, and one found Hoth.

6. 6

   AT-AT walkers

Very tall. Very slow. They brought the shield generator down.

7. 7

   My meditation chamber

A quiet pod in my quarters on the Executor, where everyone knocks first.

8. 8

   The carbon-freezing chamber

It's a testing room that I picked for a test run.

9. 9

   The Imperial shuttle

A dignified ride to the new Death Star.

10. 10

    The second Death Star

Bigger and fully armed (I'm told).

🔟 Darth Vader's Top 10 Rebels Who Gave Him the Most Trouble

The Rebellion is persistent, I'll give them that. These are the rebels I can't stop finding in my reports.

1. 1

   Princess Leia

She hid the plans and never gave up the base.

2. 2

   Luke Skywalker

A pilot with a talent I recognized right away.

3. 3

   Han Solo

He came out of nowhere and knocked me out of the trench run.

4. 4

   Chewbacca

Very loud, very strong, and very loyal to that smuggler.

5. 5

   R2-D2

A small droid carrying very big secrets.

6. 6

   Obi-Wan Kenobi

My old teacher had a few last surprises.

7. 7

   Lando Calrissian

We had a deal. He changed his mind.

8. 8

The pilot who pulled out of the trench

I let one go to focus on the leader. That was a mistake.

9. 9

   The Hoth transports

Too many of them slipped past the blockade.

10. 10

    The snowspeeder pilots

Tow cables around my walkers' legs. Creative.
