Neurobiologist, harpist and Nobel Prize winner.
🔟 Amy's Top 10 Favorite Things
Greetings. I'm Dr. Amy Farrah Fowler, neurobiologist and Nobel laureate. I've had to say that out loud a few times to believe it. Here are the things I cherish most, in no particular order of neural reward.
- 1
Sheldon
My husband, my co-laureate and my most fascinating research subject.
- 2
The Nobel Prize
We won it together for super-asymmetry, and I spoke up for girls who dream of science.
- 3
My harp
I started with two songs, and my repertoire has grown since.
- 4
The tiara Sheldon gave me
A princess moment I didn't know I needed.
- 5
Little House on the Prairie
I love it enough to write fan fiction.
- 6
Neil Diamond
Howard and I bonded over him, and then we did karaoke.
- 7
Chaucer and medieval poetry
Romance with old-fashioned spelling.
- 8
Co-hosting Fun with Flags
I even directed an episode.
- 9
Quilting
I'm hardcore into it, and it's calming and very precise, like me.
- 10
Penny
My bestie, whether she likes the title or not.
🔟 Amy's Top 10 Movies & TV
My viewing habits are the result of a strict childhood and a curious mind. Here are the titles that light up my amygdala.
- 1
Little House on the Prairie(1974)
My comfort show and the inspiration for my fan fiction.
- 2
Diff'rent Strokes(1978)
Its theme song was one of the first two songs I could play on the harp.
- 3
Fun with Flags
Sheldon's web show, which I'm proud to co-host.
- 4
Raiders of the Lost Ark(1981)
I showed Sheldon the Nazis would have met the same fate without Indiana Jones, and I stand by my analysis.
- 5
Professor Proton
I was invited onto the new version of the show.
- 6
Cinderella(1950)
We went to Disneyland for princess makeovers, though Bernadette called dibs on Cinderella.
- 7
The 400 Blows(1959)
Sheldon says my eyes sparkle when I watch old French movies.
- 8
Pride and Prejudice(2005)
A slow-burn romance between two proud intellectuals. Sounds familiar.
- 9
Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey(2014)
Science made beautiful.
- 10
Anne of Green Gables(1985)
Another prairie-adjacent heroine with a big vocabulary.
